Well, hello there! It's great to see you again. Do you remember my name? Can you spell it?
Welcome to our class blog. Blog? BLOG? What's that?
The word blog was made by taking the "b" from "web" and placing it in the front of "log." So... "b" + "log" = BLOG!
Did I already tell you I live with three cats? I love them all equally, even though they are very different.
Artis is my newest cat. I got her from the local Humane Society. She sometimes acts like a little clown, racing around the house like a rocket! She's only a year old. I guess she's still a kitten at heart.
Lovepie is about five years old. She is the sweetest cat I've ever seen. She's also my alarm clock. She gently pats my face with her paw when it's time to get up. I got her when she was a tiny thing locked up in a wire cage by the side of the road. The man said he'd be glad if I took her.
Caveman came from the streets. He's about the same age as Lovepie. He was about four months old when he and I met one night. I was leaving a friend's house when he sprang from the bushes and jumped halfway up my pants. Believe me, those little kitten claws hurt. A lot!
Unlike Artis and Lovepie, who NEVER cause any problems (other than spitting up hairballs and shedding all over the house), Caveman can be a big pain in the neck. Sometimes he attacks Lovepie and makes her cry. I guess that's because he's half wild. Although I love Caveman very much, I make him go outside if he tries to hurt Lovepie. It's kind of like a cooling off period for him. After he's calmed down I let him back inside.
Do you have pets at your house? Mrs. James and I and the other students would love to hear about them. Just click on Comments to tell us your story.
(Speaking of stories, I'm going to read you a true tale of a very heroic little dog... Wheely Willy ...and how he inspired children all over the world. It's all about ATTITUDE!)
