The bird is the word

While wrapping up my research on toucans this morning (the name-the-toucan contest at the newly opened Toucan Market) I discovered that Toucan Market is online. Don't know how I missed it last week. Check it out - a clean, well lighted place hahaha! Plus, there's online coupons.

Here's what Toco has to say about Toucan Market.

I e-mailed them this morning. Told them I had produced the winning name-that-bird entry. And I have! Not only is my choice a "friendly" name, but it's also related to the species and can be used as an acronym, of which I've produced several.

Only problem now is, if they visit the Lounge, cause of my e-mail, they're gonna see I've been robbing them blind. (Young's Double Chocolate Stout at $2.28 a 4-pack!? Hahahahaha!)

I gotta get some sleep. Leaving later this morning for Deming and Melanie Zipin at the Saint Claire Winery.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Update! - I'm awake (again). Decided to spill the beans on the bird cause I'm not leaving until 10 this morning, which gives me time to drop off my entry. Yep, you saw his name in the second graph. Toco.

Reasons why this bird will hunt:

1. Toco is a "friendly sounding" name.
2. Toco has a Latino flavor to it.
3. The Toco toucan is the largest of the toucan family. (Hey! You wanta be known as the shrimp of the toucan family?)
4. The name lends itself to acronyms. Here are a few I've come up with -
